Core feature

Website scans that show what each page actually says

Before you ask why an AI answer leaves you out, check whether your own pages state the facts plainly. A website scan reads your site the way an automated system does and reports what is missing, unclear or inconsistent, one URL at a time.

What it is for

The question it answers

“Is my site saying clearly what I offer?”

AI systems and search engines can only describe what they can read. If your services, prices, locations or specifications live in images, PDFs or vague headlines, there is little for anyone to quote. Website scans exist to make that visible before you spend effort on anything else.

The scan focuses on the basics that matter for both classic search and AI answers: page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, readable text, internal links and other on-page signals. Results are grouped by page, so a marketer can fix one URL, re-scan and move on, rather than facing a single abstract score.

Inputs, workflow and outputs

How it works in practice

You bring

  • A website address for the client or brand workspace
  • Optionally, the specific pages you care about most, such as service or product pages
  • Your monthly audit allowance, which depends on your plan
  1. Add the website

Enter the site address inside the client workspace it belongs to, so findings stay with the right brand.

  2. Run the scan

The scanner fetches pages and reads titles, descriptions, headings, text and links. Larger sites take longer to finish.

  3. Review by page

Open each URL to see its specific issues, from a missing description to a heading structure that hides the main topic.

  4. Turn findings into tasks

Send the issues worth fixing to recommendations and task tracking, then re-scan after your team publishes changes.

You get

  • A page-by-page list of structure and clarity issues
  • Site health views that help you spot patterns across many pages
  • Internal linking information showing how pages connect
  • A baseline you can compare against after changes go live

Who benefits

Who gets the most from it

In-house marketers
Get a short, concrete list of page fixes you can make in your CMS without a developer.
Agencies
Run a consistent first audit for every new client and keep the results in that client’s workspace.
Developers
See template-level problems, such as repeated titles, that are faster to fix once in code.

Illustrative example

A plumbing firm with a thin services page

Illustrative example, not customer data. A regional plumbing business wants AI answers to mention its emergency call-out service.

Scan

The /services page has the title “Home” and a single heading that reads “What we do”.

Finding

Emergency call-outs, hours and service suburbs appear only in a banner image.

Task

Rewrite the title, add a heading “24-hour emergency plumbing” and list hours and suburbs as text.

Re-scan

After publishing, the same page is re-scanned to confirm the issues are resolved.

Limitations

What it does not do

Honest limits help you set the right expectations with stakeholders. See the general FAQ for more.

  • A scan reports what it can read on your pages. It does not change your website; your team publishes every fix.
  • Content that only appears after complex scripts run, or behind logins, may not be read completely.
  • A clean scan does not guarantee rankings or AI mentions. It removes obstacles; it does not control third-party systems.
  • Very large sites may take time to finish and count against your monthly audit allowance.

Questions

Website scans: frequently asked questions

How is this different from a traditional SEO audit?

It overlaps with one deliberately. The same clarity and structure that help search engines also help AI systems. The difference is that findings connect to your AI observations and tasks in the same workspace, so you can see why a fix matters.

Do I need a developer to act on the results?

Usually not. Most findings, such as titles, descriptions, headings and missing text, can be fixed in a standard CMS. Template-wide problems are faster for a developer to fix once.

How often should I scan?

Scan when you start, after you publish a batch of changes, and periodically to catch regressions. Your plan sets how many audits you can run each month.

No ranking guarantee. AI Search Console provides observations and recommendations only. It cannot guarantee rankings in any search engine or mentions in any AI-generated answer, which are determined by third-party providers.
